How do I treat burns from the milky fluid of the fig tree?

I recently pruned the heck of a giant fig tree that was tearing down my corral fence and the next day got red sploches and today I have blisters that burn. Anyone know hot to treat these or sooth them and how long they might last?

I was not aware that the sap of a fig tree could burn. I have 2 in the yard for the last several years.

Could it be that this is just an alllergy??

I'm going to have to look into this further.
